What is LINC?
LINC is a European Conference which combines European exchange of experience with sport events and European culinary. LINC is an initiative that started from LAGs (Local Action Groups) and National Network Units for rural development in Austria, Germany, Estonia and Finland.
LEADER Inspired Network Community – LINC – European LEADER academy which combines exchange of experiences in many different communities in the whole European union and beyond. The LINC initiative was formed by local action groups more than 15 years ago and will be hosted by Latvian LEADER community this year!
With the title “TIME TO REMEMBER”, LINC Latvia 2026 in Jūrmala invites participants to pause, reflect, and reconnect with people, places, and ideas. Taking place at the beginning of summer, by the Baltic Sea, it is a moment in time to slow down, breathe in the coastal air, and remember why community-led rural development matters – a pause to reflect what has been achieved together, at a time when the road ahead is yet unfolding.
LINC 2026 will be…
…a LINC of presence — where being together offers reassurance and strength
…a LINC to remember — discovering inspiring initiatives from Latvian Local Action Groups and partners from across Europe
…a LINC at the meeting point of land and sea — where openness invites reflection and listening
…a LINC of continuity — holding on to what matters, while gently preparing for what comes next
…a LINC shaped by place — combining exchange, learning, and regional visits with the calm and spaciousness of the Baltic coast
Discover the Studytours!
Bringing together 14 Local Action Groups, the Latvian host partnership represents diverse regions across the country – from coastal and forest landscapes to inland and border areas. Built on long-standing experience in cooperation, Latvian LAGs have, for many years, implemented LEADER projects and developed strong partnerships at regional, national, and European levels. This shared strength in cooperation is reflected in the study tours, which will lead participants to different parts of Latvia, each offering a distinct local context and approach to community-led development.
